I know that some people think this series needs to be brought to a conclusion and I do accept the point but I will sure miss it when it's over and done. There are hints in this one that we are not too far from the end in "Carnage".
As for the narration . . . well who else could do one of these but RC Bray? A man who could read me the telephone directory for an hour and make it sound exciting. So, if you liked what went before and want some more then hit the purchase button without fear. If you're new to the Arisen series then start from the beginning; if you like this kind of thing you won't regret it.
but I hate myself for it.
I loved the books at the beginning when Glyn James was co writer. I thought they were really well written and it was a great story up until book 8 even if the gun play was a bit much, it was ok.
later on in the book when a female character throws in her marriage to shack up with Handon lead protagonist and doesn't bat an eyelid when her son is eaten is quite frankly ponk! Then in this book the way the Russian saves Handon left me wanting to throw the book across the room. if it had not been a kindle edition and I value that, I would have done.
cut your loses and write your own conclusion in your head and save yourself a few quid!!!
Clearly in the writing they eventually had literary differences and Glyn cut his losses and left the partnership. at this point the gung-ho gun porn goes from OTT to absolutely ridiculous. it became less and less about the zombie apocalypse and in comes the pesky Russian Spetsnaz. Shame on you Michael Fuchs for ruining a good story and shame on me for giving him my money
