Product Description
Improved Heat Dissipation
Evenly spread direct-touch heat pipes and an optimised heat sink design with 54 cooling fins lead to an ideal heat dissipation for the Freezer 34.
High Performance for High-End CPU
The contact surface of the Freezer 34 heatpipes does not cover the full heatspreader, but, more importantly, is right where the processor DIE is and covers even the largest versions (18 core) completely.
Easy Installation & Secure Hold
Fast and easy to install and extremely reliable, the different mounting systems are compatible with Intel and AMD sockets. Thanks to a backplate and its low weight, the Freezer 34 is not only foolproof to install, but also absolutely transport safe.
Compatibility with LGA1700
The LGA1700 mounting kit makes the entire Freezer 34 series compatible with Intel's new Alder Lake processors. Even though the socket and heatspreader have increased in size compared to the predecessor, the CPU-die surface has been reduced and remains centred. The Freezer 34 series rests here with its Direct Touch heat pipes and covers this area completely.
ARCTIC will provide the required mounting kit free of charge to our customers who submit a proof of purchase of a processor with an LGA1700 socket. Alternatively, you can purchase the mounting kit under the name "ARCTIC Intel LGA1700 Upgrade Kit - for Freezer 34 Series - Black".

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 April 2020Style Name: Freezer 34Verified PurchaseMy wife was fed up with the noise made by the stock cooler that came with my Intel i7 8900 3.2Ghz processor (socket LGA 1151), so I purchased the Arctic 34 (grey) to replace it. This comes with all the bits you need including thermal paste. You have to access both over and and underneath the motherboard to fit this, the installation is a little fiddly but not massively over-complicated and the digital manual was fine for me.
This thing is tall, be sure your PC case has a CPU cooler max height of 157mm or greater, my case actually states this as the absolute max and it just about fits. It seems no wider than the stock cooler so the surrounding sockets (RAM, PCI-E etc.) are still accessible as before.
My processor has Thermal Design Power (TDP) of 65 watts, and this seems to be no problem, this can handle up to 150w, apparently.
It runs very quietly, I can barely hear it, if at all. When running CPU intense tasks, like games, it remains quiet. I tried this with playing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on 'epic' set graphics, there was not a sound and the CPU temperature reached a max of 65 degrees celsius only. The CPU idle temperature is around 30 degrees C.
The cooler is heavier (605 g) than the stock cooler that came with the processor, but it's worth it. £20 is a decent price, too.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 February 2021Style Name: Freezer 34 COVerified PurchaseIt's a cheaper, equally good version of single fan Esports 34 with no fancy colours and ball bearing fan, slightly slower than Bionix version. Still, AMD 2600X 95W TDP is like 68 deg C Max at auto OC, running 4025mhz and 29-38 deg C idle (due to dynamic scaling or whatever AMD is doing to their CPUs, it never stays still). I'm sure this radiator could run as passive cooling, just with case fans if I would set the CPU to locked 3600mhz stock speed, it's that good. Pretty much always quiet even at full speed. Comes with extra clip for another fan if you already own some P12 fans, like me. This way it's Esport 34 DUO for £25. Happy days.
Now. Fitting is not hard, not easy. Just take your time and it will be fine. Good access is needed. Mobo out or clear space around the socket.
It's tall. Double check sizes before you buy. I thought there's lots of spaces in my case, but it just fits under the glass panel.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 February 2020Style Name: Freezer 34Verified PurchaseThe cooler is used on a R5 3600 (not overclocked) Depending on the power profile selected and a fan curve, cooler performs quite well. Temps at idle are around 37°C (power saver profile @cca 430rpm) and around 40°C (Ryzen high performance @cca600rpm). During the Cinebench R20 multicore they oscilate around 68°C (Ryzen high performance @cca 1800rpm) Note, I've installed another Arctic P12 PWM PST fan in a push-pull configuration. However the performance even without the second fan is pretty much the same (+1-2°C), only difference is a noise level. RPM under cca 900 is only hardly noticeable (spinning HDD is louder). This is my second Arctic freezer (first been i32 on i5 6500). I do not play games only use PC for content creation so can not comment on performance during playing, but I am sure that by adjusting fan curve one can achieve very pleasant temperatures while keeping the noise level very low.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 January 2020Style Name: Freezer 34Verified PurchaseInstallation [MSI Tomahawk Max B450]
---------------------------------------------
This cooler took about 5 minutes to install. The instructions are available on the Arctic website (none were included in the box). All necessary mounting accessories were included for an AM4 socket. Fan spring clips are also included if you wish to add a second fan in a push pull configuration. I was worried that the when the standoff mounts were attached to the motherboard backplate the fitting was loose however when the cooler was screwed into the standoffs there is no play so don't worry if you find this when installing (MSI Tomahawk Max b450).
Performance
----------------
The stock wraith stealth cooler included with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 would post max temps around 80-85 Celsius when subjected to ten minutes of an Intel burn test at normal. During this time the cooler was far too loud, obnoxiously so.
The Arctic Freezer 34 however provides a maximum temperature of 63 celsius during the same test and is objectively much quieter (on the same PWN fan curve settings configured in the BIOS)
For disclosures sake, , my system is housed in a Phanteks Enthoo with all fan spots occupied and working in positive pressure.
Conclusion
-------------
This cooler costs £20 ! The performance in both temperatures and noise levels are more than worth it for this price and are competitive with coolers 3-4x the cost. I am very happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone with a Ryzen 3600 or higher.

Iron-EagleReviewed in Germany on 27 June 20215.0 out of 5 stars Top CPU-Kühler, sehr leise und hält die CPU-Temperaturen unten, zum übertakten bestens geeignet.
Klare Kaufempfehlung plus 5 verdiente Sterne gehen raus an Arctic Cooling.

josbenmorReviewed in Spain on 20 July 20205.0 out of 5 stars Sencillo de montar y muy silencioso a un precio muy ajustado

WarriorBloodReviewed in Spain on 27 December 20195.0 out of 5 stars Perfecto por su precio.
