1. Possibly NOT an HDMI monitor.
It has an HDMI port, but the (poorly written) instructions on the CD are stating that a VGA connection is mandatory, HDMI is optiona). If you do not have an VGA port, that might be "game over".
2. Drivers are NOT available online, only on the CD ... this monitor is NOT plug-and-play
I had to dig out an old notebook with a DVD drive, copy the files to Google Drive and across.
3. You do get the ancient *.INF drivers which I recall seeing the last time on Windows XP, but they were already obsolete then ... they really belong into the Windows 95 area.
In a nutshell - my old HDMI screen packed up and I bought this with Amazon Prime since I am working-from-home this week. Not only did this screen not work, but I had to dig out an old machine with a VGA port and another one with a DVD drive to get files off. Manual is on Flash files on the CD, very poorly written. If the instructions are correct, the monitor actually runs off the VGA port only, HDMI is just there for show (and possible to transfer sound). I wasted 3 hours on this monitor, which I will now have to catch up on - and still have no second monitor.
Thanks for nothing, AOC!
Only downside is a little bit of back-light bleed on the sides, but not enough to really impact viewing.
