Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

One of the hidden blessings of this monitor is its fast input switching. Having a PC and console hooked up at the same time is much less hassle with this than with other monitors, since it takes about a second to switch between the two at a press of a button, unlike many other monitors I have used which take a fairly long time to adjust themselves.
Otherwise I would say this is about what you'd expect from its specs, with very crisp picture quality and wide viewing angles, support for an sRGB-accurate colour profile, and built-in speakers and a USB 3 hub.
Good build quality
Lots of utility - usb ports, speakers
165hz max refresh rate
Good picture quality
Ultra Low Motion Blur (ULMB)
Excellent price-point for a combination of 1440p, 165Hz, GSYNC and IPS that should give Acer and Asus a run for their money
Cons:
Quality control, I got a good copy but I think I may also have gotten a bad one according to the other reviews
Backlight bleed, but nothing that ruins the experience in my monitor
Unintuitive OSD
Cable management
Sound quality on speakers isn't great
But do read on:
At £350 for an Amazon Marketplace copy of this monitor, it seemed too good to be true considering the quality control issues reported by some of the other reviewers. Ordered it anyway, worst case I could send it back. At the time of review, a new one costs around £550.
The monitor has good build quality, looks good and the stand is heavy and sturdy. The stand allows for height adjustment, turning left and right, tilting back and forward and also rotation by 90 degrees. It also came with the right screws in my case, others have reported wrong screws. There is a pointer to supposedly indicate what height its set at, but mine doesn't move along with the height adjustment but not a big deal.
Both UK and EU power cables were included along with a displayport, HDMI, 3.5mm audio cable and usb type-B cable to power and transfer data to/from the 4 usb ports on the monitor. They do supply power even when the monitor is on standby and the computer is turned off. I tested this by charging a smartphone. Another pleasant surprise was that the usb type-B cable also transmits sound to the monitor negating the need for a 3.5mm audio cable. It's the little things.
I did not have any stuck or dead pixels. There is a small amount of backlight bleed on the bottom right corner but this is only really noticeable on a black screen and taking a picture of it exaggerates the effect. Barely noticeable during normal usage. However, this can vary from monitor to monitor and you may get a terrible copy.
The OSD is unintuitive to use due to the button placement and assignments. I have always liked Dell's OSDs in this regard. Also for a monitor priced at £550, you would think that the cables can be easily routed or hidden away but this isn't the case. They WILL be visible.
Some calibration of the colours was necessary out of the box. There are a few guides available online.
The monitor offers refresh rates of 24, 60, 85, 100, 120, 144 and 165hz. 165hz has to be manually enabled from the OSD and then can be selected from Nvidia control panel. Personally I couldn't tell the difference above 100hz, probably because my GTX 970 can't do higher than 90fps on modern games. So far I haven't found GSYNC useful as I don't have games that run below 60fps. Also gsync makes your gpu run at full clock speed regardless of fps for some reason. Adaptive sync does not do this. I did find ultra low motion blur (ULMB) very useful in Battlefield 1 as it eliminated a lot of the blur and the difference is quite noticeable. You cannot use both ULMB and GSYNC at the same time as ULMB prefers a constant framerate of 85, 100 or 120fps.
So currently I have my monitor tested and set up (85hz refresh rate) for the following games:
Battlefield 1: ULMB with adaptive sync, low-medium settings with GTX 970
Diablo 3: Adaptive sync only, high settings
Even 85hz is far smoother than 60hz but this increase in smoothness diminishes as you use higher and higher refresh rates. Obviously this threshold varies from person to person.
The monitor is definitely worth the buy if you're in the market for a 1440p, 165Hz, GSYNC/ULMB and IPS package. Despite the quality control issues, for the price point and features, I'll give it a 5/5.

Thought I would treat myself to this monitor as I've been using a cheap 22" 60hz 1080p display for many years now, and I thought my GTX 1080 was wasted on it.
Received the item and felt it was very good value for money. Right out of the box it looks like and feels like a premium product.
Setup was very easy, plug it in with displayport and USB cable to the PC and download the necessary drivers from the AOC website. Extremely easy.
For gaming it is incredible. Going from a 1080p 60hz monitor to 1440p 144hz (or even 165hz if I feel the need) it is just amazing. Already I feel like I am playing better on many games (especially PUBG).
Unfortunately there are some slight downsides to this monitor. With it being a TN panel the colours are not amazing. It is a gaming monitor so I guess that's to be expected. If you're planning on doing graphic or colour work then I wouldn't recommend this monitor.
Another issue is that there is an odd grainy finish to the screen. It makes whites especially look a little weird, but when you are gaming it really isn't noticeable! From what I can see, the majority (if not all - I'm not sure) 144hz displays have a matte/grainy finish on the screen, so it might not be such a downside if so.
All in all a very good 1440p 144hz gaming monitor. Some say 24" in too small to see the advantage of 1440p, but I have to disagree, it looks amazing and is a perfect size on my desk.
