I'm currently reading a lot about depression and anxiety, because a friend of mine is going through a rough time. This book is definitely a helpful addition to my growing virtual library, giving strategies of how to overcome anxiety and bring that stress level back down to normal. If you are having a hard time, check out this book.

(Downloaded from amazon.com.au) I like this book because it is well written and helpful. In this book, you will learn What Is Anxiety Really, How Do I Know If I Have Anxiety, How Can I Prevent Stress, Depression and Anxiety, What Are the Anxiety Treatments Available, How To Manage The Daily Stressful Situations,How To Help A Friend Who Suffers From Anxiety and much more. From me, I will definitely rate this book and the author's efforts a 5-STAR. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eye-opener 18 Feb. 2014
By Treasa Bane - Published on Amazon.com

There was a bit of information that either surprised me or taught me something new on each page. A sign of a good book. I realize I'd been slumping several disorders into one as "anxiety" and was therefore sort of desensitized toward the disorder. Everyone knows someone or possibly has a disorder that sprouts from anxiety--PTSD and OCD, for starters, are very common. This book makes it easy to tell apart and manage different kinds.

Dunn should especially be given credit for promoting self-treatment first. After six months of suffering from a type of anxiety you should do something about it, but medication can be risky as it can lead to addiction. You'll want to work on lessening your caffeine intake and increasing your sleep after reading this. I wish relaxation techniques were delved into a bit more--they were sort of glossed over in the book.

Also, no idea IBS was related to anxiety either. Incredible.

1.0 out of 5 stars What about management of buyer's remorse? 20 Sept. 2014

This was such a rip-off that I'm writing my first Amazon review. Buyer beware!! It's definitely my fault that I failed to notice the length of the "book" was only 22 pages. But how does a $2.99 pamphlet get such a high rating? Beyond basic information - save yourself the money and just google tips for anxiety relief instead. If I could give 1 star, I would.
5.0 out of 5 stars Useful! Good Overview. 17 Feb. 2014

This is a helpful, short, and concise book for identifying stress and anxiety levels, like whether you are worrying too much, have constant muscle pain, digestion problems or not sleeping. There are some hands-on basic methods on how to manage, treat, and even prevent stress and anxiety. My favorites are meditation and slow deep breathing. I like that the Dunn addressed the need to turn off the TV news and put down the paper now and again to reduce personal stress. I would definitely recommend this book to my family and friends
1.0 out of 5 stars Mostly common knowledge 26 Feb. 2015
By Dark Star - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This book contains common knowledge about Anxiety that is also available on the internet. So, nothing impressive. And the author seems to be unaware of how anxiety paralyzes the victim since he can have the guts to tell people who suffer from anxiety to just "exercise some more and eat a more balanced diet" bla bla. Don't pay for this book, thats my recommendation.
4.0 out of 5 stars Should be a bit longer 23 Sept. 2014
By Benjamin Jenkins - Published on Amazon.com

Unfortunately stress and anxiety are part of our everyday lives, one wonders if perhaps people who lived 200 years ago lived in a healthier environment. Anyway I like short books on self-help topics, I do not have to read 200 pages to get to what interests me, but at 22 pages this book could still offer a bit more information. Overall not bad but could use improvement.
