I am reviewing this review after using this product for just under the year. When it was almost a year old, the bulbs fused. I had particularly chosen this product because the bulbs can be replaced. I ordered two bulbs and when they arrived I replaced them as per the instructions. upon switching the zapper on, it was still not working. I assumed the bulbs had been faulty and bought another set. It still did not work and I found that the actual zapper appeared to have died when the bulbs fused. The warranty was no longer valid as by the time the replacement bulbs arrived, the zapper was over the year old. I put this down to bad luck as the overall reviews for this product seem good. I then purchased another one which I have had the exact same issue with. I contacted the manufacturer and they said "I would say that it is the zappers that are faulty." when I asked about returning the faulty zappers the reply was "Unfortunately the items are out of warranty which means they aren’t eligible for return". So please be warned that in my experience these units are disposable. If you can afford to or do not mind paying this sort of money for a years use then this is a pretty good zapper but I can not afford to replace a unit yearly so I will be looking for an alternative.

when a fly hits it you certainly hear it - usually they go puff but it's not fool proof though a few have staggered away, as it works by attracting flies to the UV tubes it works better away from brightly lit areas and windows otherwise they ignore it, being a mains voltage grid that basically the fly shorts out as it passes through you need to ensure it's mounted well away from any possibility of anyone touching it, has a relatively short cable so needs a socket (high up) local to it

This is a Very Good Looking Piece of Kit & I,m Sure it will do the Trick. However it Randomly blows my Trip-Switches in my Property at very Weird Times. You Can switch it on and it will Blow your Switches then another time it will run for a Couple of Hrs without a Hitch. So Just Be AWARE.

This is our second fly killer of this make, if it's as good as our fist one we will be very happy. This one is for the upstairs of our house, it's the next one down in size to the one downstairs. We use a timmer on them as they give out a lot of light, we use them about 18 hours a day which is enough.

I am delighted with the results of this machine. I have only given four stars as the tubes have blown after a very few months. I have tried to find replacement tubes for this but so far been unable to get them. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've used this all summer and it's killed many flies. Took a while to get used to the very loud electrocution of each insect but the conservatory is insect free..
The joy when you hear that little blighter that's annoyed you get caught. We all cheer everytime.. Blooming fantastic!!
Seems good value for the money, but I haven't seen work what so ever, would not recommend it at any price.
