This book is now 6 years old and in a number of ways you can tell that this title is beginning to date, the first of these is that the pictures used in the title clearly show they were taken some time ago, giving the impression the title is old. In addition to this areas such as paediatric asthma management have come on significantly since this title was drafted/written between 2009-2010 meaning that the management options this title encourages are not in all cases the best practice now.
I feel that this book would certainly be a highly useful title if it were to be revised for a new edition with new pictures and the content being brought in line with current practice. However, as the title currently stands there are other more recent paediatric title releases that I would be more inclined to recommend over this title to get first. That being said, if you have more recent textbooks, are aware of the current management but find the ABC series title useful then this title may still be worth getting out of your hospital/university library as the diagrams are certainly useful.
