3.0 out of 5 stars it does work perfect, after opening it up.
By Kelvin on 21 October 2015
got it working after 2 hours. gave it 3 stars for the stress it gave me. using windows 10 pro x64.

1] like people said, don't use the CD. go to the microsoft website and download latest driver [doesn't matter if your running win8 or 10]
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows
2] install the latest driver build 2015, will show up on the device manager list after installing the above.
3]if that doesn't work, change USB ports. [you may need to install driver again for the new port]
4] if it works but disconnects every 10 seconds then there's interference [or still doesn't connect, but there's a green light on the unit]. what i found was a problem inside the unit. you need to open it up [by doing this you cant return the product] using a small flat screwdriver start at the rubber end, where the cable is, and pry it open working your way round. it will be tough as the case is super-glued, but it will give way. once opened, unscrew the PCB from case, and under it is a steel plate [this is what's stopping the signal][see photo], remove it. put it all together. and it should work. mine works 100% now. no a single problem.

the product works fine, but the steel table weight is stopping it performing as it should.
