This product is made of good strong plastic and is very sturdy. We use ours for rice, for which is is especially effective, but it could equally be used for cereal or pasta. The opening in the lid makes it easy to open and pour, but the entire lid can be removed for easy filling.

It is important to be careful when opening the container fully, as the plastic can break quite easily, but as long as you take care it poses no problems.
