Love all her normal books but this is awfull
So with these facts laid bare the investigation was reopened. Upon re-questioning the two college security officers they learn that the victim had been in the company of her boyfriend that evening, but that he had left earlier on when she had insisted she continued with her work, determined to complete it before leaving the area. The boyfriend had gone off alone and it would have been impossible for him to regain access to the building once again. It was a real conundrum; one fit only for the finest detectives to solve. With the three witnesses interviewed once again they began to consider the possibility that there may have been a fourth person who had never come forward with their evidence at the time of the murder, and not only that, but the consideration that one or more of the three witnesses could have been untruthful in their original witness statements.
I really enjoyed this crime mystery. I have read and enjoyed most of Lisa Gardner’s novels and I will definitely be reading her next new novel ‘Right Behind You’ after reading the excerpt included after the end of ‘The 4th Man’. Publication day is 31st January and I cannot wait to start reading this novel. I love the way the truths are gradually revealed, both well paced within the storytelling and thrilling at the same time. Lisa has a huge talent for this genre, building up the story with interesting characters and intelligent multi-faceted cases. I will certainly recommend this as a really good and very quick read within the crime genre.
I would like to thank NetGalley and publisher Headline, especially Emily Brock who always notifies me of Lisa’s upcoming novels and invites me to read for review, all in return for my honest opinions and reflections. It is always my great pleasure to accept.
