All Alis books help me to understand my condition and how to cope, without Alis books I would feel less alone.
Alis books are easy to understand as they have big writing and lots of visuals I'm an aspie myself so this is an amazing find.
Alis information comes from a real place as Alis has Aspergers.
in This book Alis gives more ideas and advice on how Aspergers affects our abality to cope in different situations there are some great dialogues of conversations and cartoons in the book on how neurotypcials word things and how we process them.
I bought this book to help me understand myself better it all makes sense and now i understand why I struggle so much.
Thanks again Alis
I love the way in which perspectives from both sides are shown. I read it with my son and he was nodding in agreement and saying "Yes! That's me!"
Each scenario has space to write your own notes and experiences which gives a great starting point for discussions. Schools and their teachers would also benefit from having this book to help understand behaviours, thoughts and feelings better.
Really pleased I bought it and will also now be buying the other 2 comics :)
As someone with Asperger's Syndrome myself, these comic books are important to me because:
1) it is *amazing* to see in print my own 'weird' reactions to things, with an explanation of why I feel or behave like that,
2) I can show people I know so that they know I am not just being difficult or mean or whatever,
3) they help me to see the other side and get some idea of what other people might think or feel in the same situation, because the NT perspective is also shown, and
4) they are told with Alis Rowe's particular genius of clarity and humour.
Highly, highly, highly recommended. And the others in the series as well!!! Fantastic!!!
