Product Description

Synopsis

Celebrated internationally for his fashion and portrait photography, British image-maker Sean Ellis offers this panoramic view of his life and work. Shooting on every day of the last year of the Millennium, Ellis filled in the gaps between the big production shots he is known for, using his camera for behind-the-scenes perspectives, more informal studies of models and stars around him, even cataloguing the antics of his dog, Kubrick.

Format: Hardcover
Sean Ellis' fashion work has always caught my eye. His striking images have been well placed within the pages of style magazines such as The Face and Numero in recent years. His book THREE-SIX-FIVE is a high energy book that deals with the concept of taking a picture everyday for a year. His stunning fashion visuals sit side by side with more personal projects and the result is a beautiful vouyeristic peek at one of our leading contemporary image makers.

This book contains a number of some really nice images, but I can't help feeling that the entire premise of the book is slightly self-indulgent.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very interesting fashion "fly on the wall" book 18 Sept. 2003
By bailey - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
An interesting concept of a photo taken every day for a year by one of the UK's leading fashion photographers. Fashion images sit side by side with personal "snaps" that create a very interesting "fashion fly on the wall" book. A must for any serious followers of fashion and the images that shape it.
