We hoped the prayers were more personal and more in line with todays language. The book was written in an old fashioned way and was not what we needed to feel that each prayer fitted our needs. The readings were much better than the prayers.

5.0 out of 5 stars The prayers are in surrender to God's ultimate and perfect will for each individual life 3 Jun. 2017
By Tabitha-Dorcas - Published on Amazon.com

Author Nathaniel Turner speaks from the place of the familiar, for he states that he has experienced illness and disease himself. There is something to be said for speaking from experience, and, then, using that experience to share with others who may be in the same place. Mr. Turner shares scripture and prayers that he felt were helpful, in the hopes that it will also ease the pain of others. He accomplishes his stated goal of helping readers to "vocalize their prayers, directed by the Word of God."

A scripture is included before each of the 31 prayers, followed by a pertinent prayer that embodies the scripture shared. The prayers are arranged topically, and affords the reader the option to look up the prayer for healing that he or she feels is applicable. The author very candidly and wisely reminds readers not to assume that the prayers will heal all ailments, and points out that the prayers are not a magical panacea, acknowledging that God, in His sovereignty determines when and if healing should occur, The prayers are in surrender to God's ultimate and perfect will for each individual life.

The book was penned to guide the reader's personal prayer life, and help him or her to speak to God when words are hard to find. It is an easy read, and sure to be a consoling companion for personal use, as well as for others who need the strength and encouragement of scripture, with accompanying prayers. It would be a great gift to anyone finding him or herself undergoing illness, and could be a solace either to be read personally, or aloud by another. If spiritual strength is what is needed, and committal of one's self and condition to God, this book will be a true God-send. Only 94 pages, this book is a great one when crying out to God for help and strength to carry on in the midst of illness and disease.

"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." - Psalm 147:3

This is a beautifully crafted prayer book containing 31 prayers, each prayer based on a scripture to coincide with different avenues and types of healing. There are prayers for Healing through Grace, Glory, Faith and Repentance, Obedience, Peace and Unity and more. Whether to be used for daily devotionals or to assist in praying for others or group prayer, there is something to be found here.

A very well thought-out and useful prayer book to have.

5.0 out of 5 stars 31 Prayers for Healing 7 Sept. 2013

Illness, injury, emotional distress are all common to the human condition. They may leave us confused, fearful, doubting...and asking the question, "Why?" They may also leave us without the strength or words to pray. Whether praying for your own needs or intervening for others, this book not only provides the words to say, but also provides biblical insight and perspective.

5.0 out of 5 stars much needed book in this life. 15 July 2012

Nathanial Turner has done a great job with this book, It helps you not only pray for yourself but I insert the names of people that need prayers as well and am able to pray for every situation that comes across my path. Remember Nathaniel gives you the start of your prayer life and as you read it daily your heart and soul take over and you are starting to pray like a warrior ( a prayer warrior ) I might have spelt that wrong, but that is how it makes me feel. My mum Florence was a prayer warrior and now I can feel like I am carrying on where she left off.
31 Prayers for Healing I use this book every day so many people need our prayers and our country too. My sisters are reading it as well. what a lovely treasure Nathaniel has given us.
