Even though I had read a few bad reviews of this lead, I thought it was cheap enough to find out for myself.

Mine came fast and looked ok on first inspection, some reviews I had read were right. It's a flimsy thin lead.

It still manages to carry top quality sound for me when I am streaming music over the internet.

I would not recommend this lead to a DJ, or anyone else that has a lot of moving of equipment around. It would break in no time.

It was very cheap and it does what I need it to do.

Does exactly as stated and at a nice bargain price. However the wire is quite thin for this type of product but the picture does reflect this quite well. So it is sold as advertised.

Providing you are connecting this to an item that doesn't get moved around too much (chromecast audio setup in this case) then it works great and isn't likely to suffer any damage to the wiring from constant plugging, unplugging and torsion on the wires.

I bought this to connect my netbook to my sound system through the headphone out socket as I have no other audio out on my netbook. I paid less than £1 incl delivery, it arrived yesterday and it works perfectly. I can now stream video (through my existing VGA adaptor to my flatscreen) AND sound through my amplifier - internet TV and movies, here I come! The only downside is the wait. I think this is shipped from Hong Kong, literally. It was dispatched on 6th January and arrived on 17th February (yes, February). This was 6 days later than the estimated arrival date. But you just can't give it less than 5* for the value. Plus I e-mailed to say the item hadn't arrived and they responded and they offered an immediate refund or a dispatch from the UK, whichever I preferred. Fortunately the item then arrived so that wasn't necessary but that was great customer service which would give me confidence in using them again.

phono vs stereo

The 3.5 jack is only compatible with as phono signal making the white/black connection entirely useless if your still hoping to get sound out of both left and right speakers. However if you only need a single phono sound connection and never a stereo one then this will works fine! On the other hand if you just got one of the other stereo leads you would be able to use them for both situations! Remember to read the description properly unlike I did! Oops! Lucky it was cheap!

It took a while to arrive but when you buy a product that is shipped from Hong Kong for less than a pound including postage how can you not be happy?

It is as good quality as any product bought from the likes of Currys/Comet etc but for a tiny fraction of the price, no doubt the product they stock themselves but mark up massively.

The only downside was the delivery time, but that was stated during purchase so I can't complain on that point. If you need something now this second then you maybe need to look around but if there is no rush then definitely recommended.

Simple and effective way to bring better sound to modern tv's with older stereos

Because I have an older stack system and a modern tv I had to find a way around the digital sound output and this cable was it.
As you all know, most modern televisions sound is pretty terrible, with a distinct lack of bass and treble and a heavy emphasis on vocal sound. With this cable plugged into the headphones socket on the tv and the RCA's in the back of the stereo, the sound was improved 100 fold. Simple, effective and will make a huge difference to your television or gaming experience
