Since i`d start reading Bolano few years ago became addicted to his work. Bolano represents to literature in Spanish language what Garcia Marquez, Julio Cortazar and others did over 40 years ago. Is a truly inflexion point. His writing is like a waterfall, he believed literature is the most important thing, and after reading him you may think is truth. Some readers may be afraid of his works: density circles rounding to get to a point; well, no need to. In "2666" there is humour and plenty of it (this is a constant in most of his works), as much as horror coexistent with the tragedy. Did not need "2666" to become immortal but this is the cherry on the top of the cake for the greatest writer of his generation (in any language). Yes, he wrote this book rushing, knowing his time was up suffering an illness that will make him leave this world and is said is an unfinished book. In his work is no ending, and i believe he reached what he did want to.
