26.2 is a useful book in so many ways, and it can be read in many ways. You can do it cover-to-cover, or you can read the individual interviews. You can compare the pre-race and post-race attitudes of the runners. Did they achieve their targets? You can read it for inspiration to enter and train, you can harvest it for London-specific tips and tricks. I bought this book shortly after entering the 2001 marathon, I could find something of myself in the people in the book, and their experiences helped me understand just what the race was going to be like. I've read it inits entirety a couple of times, and I often dip into it to find specific information. Some of the people interviewed are inspiring, some challenging, one or two are irritating! If you run, or plan to run a marathon this excellently written book is recommended. If that marathon happens to be London then this book is absolutely indispensible

Great book so far, have not finished yet but is a great read. If you have ever ran the London Marathon (my 2nd in 2014) you can relate to this book so much. Amazing stories of courage and will power.
