I shall have to ask my students what they think about this book and if it helps them.
I always teach left hand finger patterns; that's why I am very keen on a book like this. I am leaning towards a thumbs up for this book!
A word of warning now... The AB scale syllabus changed in 2012, unfortunately, leaving E flat A flat major and E minor natural are not covered in this book.
Even rhythm is new too, as of 2012... AB obviously trying hard to improve their syllabus.
This book is not in colour; the preview is misleading (a case of misrepresentation), as colour was the one feature which made me buy this book. Poor on Amazon's part.
On the plus side, the vast majority of the book looks useful; any sign of book 2 to complete the picture ?(we're a far cry short of 24 keys as is).
A second edition and a book 2 eagerly awaited!
Initially bought the Kindle edition but rather small screen and in black and white hampers it's usefulness (so only 4*) so I purchased the full version for download from publishers and printed it out in colour - much better.
I can't wait for Book 2.
The price of a substandard book is dearer than getting it direct from the publisher.
