It wasn't the right time.
Today is right. Today is the day for a book that wouldn't be put down. A day for Kennedy and Noah to finally tell their stories.
I'm not going to replay the plot. Every reader is entitled to take this book and make it their own. I will say that I am still crying twenty minutes after it reached the only conclusion that it could.
I have no doubt that Kennedy and Noah will stay with me for a long time. They deserve to be remembered.
If you want a book that will take you on an emotional journey and probably hit a few heart strings, then this is a book for you
Heartache, romance, anger and frustration, this book has it all.
A must read and a definite re-read
21 Stolen Kisses follows the story of Kennedy and Noah. Kennedy is a 17 year old fortress of secrets, she knows too much about things that she shouldn’t know. Kennedy soon starts to seek comfort in places that maybe she shouldn’t, but there is no way to stop and she is filling holding a secret of her own. Noah is older than Kennedy and has a close working relationship with Kennedys mum, but when lines start to blur and they are just a girl and a guy…….will they start that forbidden relationship?
Kennedy is dealing with a lot of guilt when we first meet her. She feels the guilt from breaking up her parents’ marriage, she feels the guilt of keeping secrets, and she has guilt for the break up. Kennedy in general is leading quite a sad, sheltered and cut off life. But Noah opens her up, he makes her feel things that she didn’t before, but to protect her family once again she pulls back from him.
Noah knows that he shouldn’t have crossed the lines from friends to more, he knows that it could cost him too much, but is she worth it? Noah and Kennedy have stolen kisses, they have stolen moments, they have dates but all without people knowing. Until she breaks his heart.
Wanting some happiness for all the people that have been caused pain from her family, Kennedy send love notes, but is this just opening old wounds? Or is it really healing? When someone starts to show Kennedy feelings, that isn’t Noah, can she move on? Is Noah really the one? Is Kennedy worth the risk?
I really enjoyed this book and I am glad that I got to read this. Well done Lauren Blakely on another fantastic read.
“Will a letter ruin you?” “I’m already ruined for anyone else.”
I'm going to explain the story without giving away because I didn't go looking for clues on goodreads like I normally do I wanted to go in as blind as possible and really experience this story for myself and I couldn't be happier that I did. This is a taboo-ish story because of the age gap between them. Their love is tested and trialed and it's up to them to deliver the verdict. They really have to fight their case, fight for their love and fight for each other.
"The current draws me to him; the air between us is charged with ions and electrons. He is the eye of my hurricane; the calm I am drawn to amid the chaos of my home. Here, a mere block away, we are so close to being caught"
Noah. Sigh. I am ALL for the over the top caveman type alpha they're my favourite my only go-to guys. Noah isn't that type. BUT I love him. I fell hard. He's smart, sweet and loves with his whole heart and so respectable and robbed my heart straight from my chest. And I'm not sure him being an over the top alpha would have worked!
Kennedy. Well that girl is pretty damn amazing. She is forced to grow up well before her time from the stress of her parents problems and takes on responsibilities and problems that are not her own. She then gets to a point where she needs to take a step back and decide how to save herself. You will want to pity her, for your heart to break for her but instead you will be proud and be in awe of her. She is one strong girl. She will easily be one of the most admirable heroines. Ever.
This story is a gift. Its a prize. Its beautiful. And every single person will take something different from it.Read more ›
Had the opportunity to read this very early, I loved the snippet we had at the end of Forbidden Love, Kennedy just spoke to me, I adored her Voice, I enjoy this side to Lauren's writing.
This is young love, when you think you shouldn't, when you think you can't have them because of other people in your life. Because you think of other people before yourself, and you are only are a teenager....... you should be thinking about college, more kisses, more fun, not keeping secrets, and not having to worry about keeping everyone elses.
There is a little bit of edge to kennedy, mature, quite wordly, yet still having fun.
Although a forbidden romance, being an 8year age difference, that started around the time when Kennedy was under 18, there was no Ick factor, Noah was totally loveable, there were serious issues involved for him obviously, it is very much a slow burn and be mindful of the lines he shouldn't cross.
I enjoyed the detail we got to their relationship, I am a detail whore, and got what I wanted here to fall in love with the characters and their relationships. What drew them together and what also tears them apart, my favourite parts involving one of my very first song purchases, talk about initiate so many 'I remember that' feelings, i got teary thinking back............... eek, can't wait to re-read this, i am already hearing the theme music that should go along with it, I Will be thinking back then to 'younger years' when I was 17-18....ahhhhh Lauren portrayed Kennedy perfectly. those were the days..........
A perfect NA read, about a young woman finding herself, falling in love and proving that, you can't help who you fall in love with.

Wow. Yet another brilliantly written book by Lauren. The way she writes books that make you feel like you're in the story. Not your typical boy, girl love story. Read morePublished 14 months ago by KF
