Need to have choice of matches and doubles matches!

Enjoying the lack of adverts but you need to include :
A choice of matches : a real exciting tiebreak was being played whilst we were watching a pedestrian cilic/verdasco match on centre court
Doubles matches: there are some cracking matches coming up Djokovic-wawrinka vs Berdych-Verdasco, Marach-Pavic vs Lopez-Lopez not to mention Hewitt-Kyrios Vs Mahut-Herbert but we getting repeats of earlier singles matches we’ve just seen!
The Jay Clarke match was great but the Murray-Soares match was really tight and you could hear the excitement coming from their court.
And what have you done to the fabulous Robbie Koenig? Always love his commentary, great to have him but he was dialled down today. Let him fly!

A great start..

Not sure if some people are watching this using dial up broadband but on my 55" gogglebox the picture is superb, its not 4k or uhd but more than matches terrestrial tv. Im not blown away by the commentary but its functional and in all honesty as a fan I'm more concerned with watching the tennis, Im sure if this takes off Amazon will be in a position to poach more established commentators from other channels and offer a choice of live matches but at this early stage and considering this is all thrown in for free with my prime membership I'm more than happy..

My first experience of tennis with Prime (as will be the case with many people) and a mixed bag, but with more positives than negatives.

Negatives first - Yes the streaming quality could be better as others have commented and there were issues with background noise. I found it watchable not outstanding and if there is the option to improve, then that should happen come the US Open. Also the highlights package should be made available earlier than it has some days - having worked through the week I haven't always been able to catch the highlights as and when they aired and when you have to get up the next day, you don't really wait to have to wait until they are made available at 11:30pm. The biggest negative however was the fact you didn't air the doubles final - with Jamie Murray involved too, I found that decision shocking and has lost a star from the review.

The neutrals - I had no issue with the commentators. Match choice would have been nice, maybe not essential for somewhere like Queens but is a must for the US Open.

The positives - The fact that there was a highlights package in the first place as this is something that I haven't really seen for Queens in the past. I hope to also see on demand highlights for Eastbourne next week, especially considering Murray is involved. Also it was neatly done and did actually show us the tennis unlike some other shows. The here's the best points only format can be a little disconcerting at times and it may have been nice to see say a complete tiebreak here and there, but given the thirty minute format it does work. The presenters and pundits were good too - Greg is always a sound choice. I haven't seen Daniella work as a pundit before but thought she did well and the two gelled nicely and I hope to see both again. Ross, Catherine and Anna all did good jobs. Also no ads is a very pleasant surprise.

So to summarise there is room for improvement for sure, but this was always advertised as a low key start. You've got the basics right and signs are encouraging. I also like the fact you seem to have taken note of these reviews - the music being dropped in the highlights for instance and I noticed the highlights were made available earlier yesterday - which is one of the reasons I have written what I hope is a fair review.

Terrible music over play.

Great to see tennis but please please please ditch the TERRIBLE music over play, it's tacky, insulting to the sports people working so hard out there and detrimental to viewers intelligence; we don't need looped elevator music to appreciate the beautiful game.

Great added value to Prime membership

A good beginning to tennis on Prime that adds value to Prime membership. The picture quality had been good for viewing on a 40" TV; some with larger TVs have been complaining about the frame rate and looking for better "catch-up" features and control interface. Hopefully if Amazon see the demand they will develop these features.

My only complaint is that some of the time it is difficult to find. Sometimes it's on the home screen but other times you can only find it by putting "Queens Tennis" into the search engine.

Not sure the coverage deserves the bad reviews! Currently watching Day Two and I've been impressed so far, great to be able to access a tournament like this through Prime. Commentary seems to be on par with other major tournaments. Brilliant content decision Amazon! I look forward to the rest of the week!

Dump the tacky music & what about "On Demand" matches?

Hello, Like the coverage except the tacky music! Will the matches be "on demand" in future tournament coverage? Staying up for the late matches in the US doesn't work for me but i want to watch a match in full NOT highlights? Thanks

Poor streaming quality but nice to have

We like watching tennis so it is nice to have this added to Prime...
BUT even with super fast broadband, a wired connection, the streaming quality is poor, visible stuttering whilst watching ball flight. It is a decade out of date in quality.
To do it properly streaming should be available in 4K and 1080p ideally with 5:1 sound (although I would prefer higher quality of sound over 5:1)
