Just ordered a second identical iPad so that I can have my own back. Since my wife discovered how good the 2018 version is over her far older version I have seen little of my own machin, so on her birthday she’ll have no excuse to keep ‘borrowing’ mine. Easy to set up, and easy to continue using apps etc already used on previous iPad. I have linked both new iPads with keyboard and cover from Brydge, which makes this 2018 iPad an even more formidable machine, so much so that I hardly ever use my small MacBook Pro anymore. With the extras it is of course considerably heavier than by itself, but that’s a trade off I expected and it really isn’t a problem, and far more secure than the flimsy cover/keyboard I’ve used before. With all my various machines (tablets, iPhones, and PCs) synced together and with apps in the cloud (such as Office 365) the iPad is even easier to use than before. The screen is small compared to my PCs but never annoyingly so, certainly never small enough to drive me to the larger Pro models that when handled in the shop seemed too large and potentially unwieldy for my kind of use in bed, in the loo (sorry: too much information) and on the train. I think buying another one so soon after buying one less than 6 months ago speaks for itself. I am of course writing this on my iPad which I fished out of my wife’s bag.
Really just personal use; games, Facebook, emails etc. Replacing a previous model, so lighter, faster etc. Expected to spend all day downloading everything, but Apple just piggybacked to my phone, and it all happened by magic! Very pleased.
I love apple products if I can I go apple all the way and every time. Others may not agree but I find them easy to use without looking up or reading any instructions never have. If you do get a technical issue a quick google usually sorts the problem I’ve never needed apples tech support.
