Product Description

Dan Bennett Flowers 2014 Magneto Diary. This diary offers a cooling blue floral design by Dan Bennett, whose style is clearly recognisable and yet almost geometric in its abstraction. As a Magneto Diary, it contains a great week view double page spread, with plenty of space for time scheduling and also for making notes. The colour doesn't stop at the cover with these diaries, which offer stylish designs and the top and bottom of various pages, and the diaries also offer a handy pocket and ribbon marker. And of course, each diary has a magnetic closure (hence the name)!

I've been buying large Magneto Diaries for around ten years now, maybe longer. I use them as a daily journal for recording all aspects of my daily life. The lay-out is two pages, left & right, dedicated to one week, with the left side being sectioned off into seven blocks with each block therein sectioned (lightly) into thirds (for, presumably, recording appointments for 'morning,' 'noon,' and 'night.'). The right side is ruler-lined for additional writing. There are many blank note pages at the back of the journal that are great for record keeping. The journal includes holiday listings, and global time and postal code charts, and a secured ribbon for page marking. The outer cover is magnetized so it shuts tightly and stays shut. The cover is also sturdy and holds up well for the duration of the year.

Each year I try to find a different artist or 'theme' to purchase. There are always many to choose from. This is the first one featuring Dan Bennett that I've ordered. Regardless of the artist or theme, the lay-out on these journal is the same. I find them very useful, and although there are plenty of ways of keeping track of things on various electronic devices now (which I also do), nothing can ever really replace a 'real' journal that you write in. If you agree with that, then you'll like this journal.
