The final section where they define the structure of 'Newspeak' there are several glaring errors where it ius explained that the suffix Jul is added to a word to make a word such as goodful, clearly the letter is f and not J, also the next page states MM can be added to a word to make a negative such as ungood clearly it's un and not MM.
Typos aside it was a very enjoyable book although I felt at times there was an assumption that the reader should know the background to something which hadn't necessarily been explained. It is can be quite interesting to look back on this book from our modern society where big brother exists but is a little subtler than the one of Orwell's mind. It's also hard to believe that it was written in 1949, some 35 years before the events of the book.
Orwell meant this book to be a warning, not a guide!
I just could not put it down until I finished it, it had me totally engrossed in the story.
No wonder it is regarded as his best work!
