Some really good ideas in there, the thing I like the best are the photos, as they are really clear and engaging. I also like that there are variations suggested for the activities, although it does mean that a lot of activities are quite similar (play-dough type). It's still a good reference for ideas of things to do on a rainy afternoon, and she has included a shortlist of key ingredients to have to hand, which is quite handy. One or two items are difficult to source in the UK, but they are only needed for one or two activities; the rest are easy to find, particularly online. The first activity I did was the coloured rice and it was an absolute hit with my 2 year old, making me realise the importance of sensory play, even if it's a bit messy. I'm also impressed that there are age differentiation ideas in there - I have a 2 month old so that will come in handy when she is old enough to join in. It's basically a series of cool chemistry lessons without the boring homework!

Finally managed to get this book to open on my kindle after months of no success!!!

So many fun activities for little ones. I've been struggling to find activities which leads me to putting my baby in front of the TV which is what I never want to do for prolonged periods of times but this gives me a new lease of life and allows me to try new things.
I love the pictures and the simple easy to read explanations. I do also like there is an age rating, so I skip the ones that are 5+ as my daughter is only 17 months old.

This book is great. It has so many ideas in it, whether you have something in mind and want to check for a specific play recipe like how to make slime, get a trusted playdough recipe, or remind yourself of the details for some simple science activities like how to make fizzing or glowing stuff - or if you just want to browse and find something new to do. It's very easy to find what you need, with modifications suggested to make some of the activities taste safe, or gluten free, etc etc..

The pictures are beautiful so all of the activities look so inviting. The activities are really pretty, especially the liquid water colour stuff. I had been reading Asia's blog for a while before buying this book, so I was really looking forward to getting the book and im not disappointed with it at all - it's great.

If you have young children, or are involved in working with children like in a playgroup or children's centre then you can't go wrong with this book. I would totally recommend it.

So was looking forward to 150+ activities and when l got it, literally took me no more than 5min to understand that, as a DIY mom, l have tried all these things before getting the book. Purchased it because of the good reviews, thinking that there will be 150 over different ideas how me and my little one can spend time together exploring and pffffff... Variation about the same theme. So many pages just with different ingredient home made paints, slimes and so on, some sensory trays and few cardboard games..
Also not sure why does it says to slime and other things from age 5+
As activities are perfectly fine for younger one's. Tried most of them with a child under 2 and over. Just supervision needed.
Nice colours and pictures, well done to author but it is by far my most disappointing purchase in a long time for me as it will just sit in shelf and collect the dust for the price l paid.
The book needs better explaining as it can fool people in thinking that there will be different activities.
The book might be helpful to mom's that are not into creativity or just had a baby and haven't explored the world what babies can do.

An excellent book with some fantastic ideas. A must for those working with young children. Although a lot of the activities can be found on her webpage it's nice to have this resource to hand rather than printing
off loads of pages. Easy step by step instructions.I liked the idea that she uses the activities with toddlers too but stresses safety points at all times. An excellent resource for messy play. This book is well worth the money and I will be amazed if you don't use the activities over and over again. If you love messy play you'll love this book.
