I couldn't recommend this book more. There are so many resources out there for songwriters but I have felt so unequipped when it comes to pursuing the artist side of the business. This book, as well as a wide variety of great content by Wade and Rick, has equipped me to take my career into my own hands and stop making excuses. This is a book I will keep going back to because of the tangible tools and strategies that help me avoid frustration and focus on my music as a business. Their advice isn't always what you want to hear, but it's always what you NEED to hear! I'm more confident, more driven, and more productive than ever. Thanks Rocket to the Stars, Music Industry Blueprint, Wade, and Rick!
5.0 out of 5 starsThe Single Best Guide to Taking Your Music Career to the Next Level
ByCory Wilkinson 2 June 2014 - Published on Amazon.com
I downloaded this eBook last week and read all 108 pages in one afternoon. This is a collection of articles and blog posts most of which you can find on the Internet, but it is very convenient to have all of the information in one place. Judging by the successful track record of the three authors, you can take their advice to heart. We musicians are not always the most business savvy; we tend to do a lot of things wrong. This book shows you that all of those things can be corrected and gives you a great starting place for making those corrections.
5.0 out of 5 starsPower-Packed w Great Tips 4 Musicians!!!
ByJess Luvon 2 June 2014 - Published on Amazon.com
As a musician I liked the author's down-to earth approach. Having combined a series of articles, both authors provided artists a raw blueprint for success. Also found it insightful to learn out all the reasons WHY artists aren't making it today. Rick Barker (one of the author's) was Taylor Swift's former manager, and today is still a big player in Nashville, so the info he shares goes beyond theory, as I've seen what he teaches work with some of artists I personally know! Great read!
