This book is a first, it gives you an insight to the Guitar in such a way it is enlightening. Buy it you won't regret it.

This book provides an instant start to get going without all the normal preamble of other books I have read. Straight away for a beginner you start on your first chord which is E Minor you are given the correct finger placement, which fingers to use and have you strumming your first chord within minutes.

Then onto other chords and easy chord changes, you will get into strumming and rhythm very quickly with this book, without having to learn Music Theory for the time being. This book gives you the confidence to pick up a Guitar and also give you a thirst for more knowledge in playing the Guitar.

The author has several books on the Guitar, of which I have purchased a few, I suggest that you check them out as they are full of information and the presentation has made them very easy to understand. If you want more information check out his website fundamental-changes.com I would also suggest that you buy his book Modern Music Theory for Guitarist as a compliment to the beginners book it's great.

This book will give you a real understanding of how Music Theory is an important part of Guitar playing and is very readable, it does not throw a lot at you in one go. The audio mp3's are excellent on all his books and are down loadable for each book, they give you a real flavour of what is possible. Go for it.

I have been a fan of Joseph's work for a while now already owning his other ebooks so I couldn't wait to get stuck into this one.

In a world when there seems to be more options than ever to learn to play the guitar, deciding which one is right can be tricky. I can say that this book is one of the best resources for playing the guitar that I have come across.

As a guitar teacher myself, I found Joe's approach broke down the complex aspects of the instrument into digestible chunks than any new student or guitar teacher can learn from. Joe's teaching expertise and knowledge is evident in this book, and many of the common problems that beginners face are clearly addressed.

If you're wanting to give the guitar a shot, or just get an insight into teaching beginners, this is the book for you.

Used to play classical guitar at school and later had an electric- 15 years on and I've bought an acoustic. This book has been great to remind me of skills I thought completely forgotten. A great stepping stone

This book is a must have for all beginners, it is better to avoid bad technique now as a beginner then have it set in, only to have to undo the mistakes later on down the line which will take a lot of time and effort!
