A. Jawad says:
Well if you post stuff like this they'll have an excuse to reset the price, jamez1988, as I'm sure they won't be too happy about you taking advantage and selling on their' goods at a markup.

M.E.Doyle says:
I heard about the amazing prices and thought I'd place my order. I searched in the £10-£15 category and both Lair and Folklore were in that category. But it says the price is £34.99. Considering what you said in your post, 'Please be assured that there will be no changes in the price of the items.' I don't know what I will be paying if I now place my order.

Fluffy says:
Don´t worry M.E., you didn´t miss anything. i just received the order cancellation email. "In our Pricing and Availability Policy (see
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=1040614),
we state that where an item's correct price is higher than our stated
price, we will cancel the order and notify you of that cancellation.

Your order has now been cancelled"

In reply to an earlier post on 29 Aug 2007 22:21:02 BDT
Same here. And i have emailed them back giving them absolute hell about it! Yesterday they emailed me and guaranteed me that there is no way they would cancel my order!

Edd M says:
I have got the same, I hope Amazon reverse the decision and give us the price as it was.

In reply to an earlier post on 29 Aug 2007 22:42:35 BDT
Surprise surprise Amazon don't honour their mis-prices, it's always the same. Just means they lose some custom for a while.

Still can't say i'm shocked it was too good to be true.

Mr. S. Mead says:
Does anyone know if false advertising law applies to internet traders ?

Hypothetically, advertise at a false low price, get the interest and hype up on a product and then say you made a mistake. It might be legal but its NOT MORAL in my book.

Amazon have lost a customer. I will not be ordering with amazon again

Robert Ayre says:
Ive sent them an email regarding my annoyance, and i urge all those who ordered for the low price to do the same. that way they may honour their promises to us, there customers who may not wish to use them anymore if said problem is unresolved

In reply to an earlier post on 30 Aug 2007 00:23:44 BDT
i have already sent them my fuming email, not only do they not honour their prices, they have been telling us all in emails that it IS CORRECT and the price we pay is the price we ordered it at. This all seems like a massive con to get the games at the top seller list, i can really see amazon UK losing ALOT of customers over this, disgusting service.

Mathayus says:
The funny thing is, I've pre-ordered stuff in the past & then amazon has lowered the price upon release but they still charge me the higher price
like FFXII that cost me £30 but was reduced on release day to £24
And they tried it with TRA, I ordered it at £30, but then they change the price to £23 but they was still gonna change me £30
so I cancelled it & ordered the CE version from GAME & used my reward points

In reply to an earlier post on 30 Aug 2007 09:50:48 BDT
Could anyone who has complained put up the replies, and/or the email they wrote, this way we can all complain in the same way...

Cant believe Amazon can actually do this, false advertising does cover internet traders, but they have a 'disclaimer' to cover themselves... hmmm!

Mr. S. Mead says:
As I said it may be strictly legal but not necessarily moral.

Wennit says:
I've added my email to the complaints. I find Amazon's actions unacceptable. Their above email clearly confirms there was not a pricing mistake and that the preorders would be honoured. To cancel after confirming this breaks their own promise to customers and shows them to be either totally incompetent or liars.

Unless they reinstate our original orders I will certainly not be shopping with Amazon again.
