A couple of weeks ago i bought "floored" and absolutely love it. I loved the energy the raw punk and the fun that wrapped the album. "14:59" is a much more mainstream album that naturally got more airplay but lacks the energy of their previous album. Its not to say that "14:59" isn't good...its just different. I cant think of any band that has made such a big change to their sound but this is almost like a different band. I am dissapointed, wishing i had bought this album first. But what can i do? If like me you prefer heavier music get this cd first and save yourself from the withdrawl symptoms of "floored". For what it is its good, with a variety of individual sounds and catchy riffs.

The first Sugar Ray song I heard was "Every Morning", an easy pop song but on buying the album I was very impressed! From the rocking "Burning Dog" and "Glory" to the melodic "Ode..." the various styles that are integrated into 14:59 are immense! They have rap in "Live 'N' Direct and even a p*** take of the genre in the opening track! Need I go on... Absolutely fantastic! Cant wait for the next!

Well after hearing their song "Every Morning" on the radio, i thought that they were definatly going to be in the British Music Charts again! But it seems that i was wrong. But with rocking songs like "Burning Dog" and "Glory", hilarious ones like "New Direction" and just plain great ones like " Falls Apart" this has got to be one of the best albums i've ever bought!
