HASH(0x90d9aaa4) out of 5 stars Good book, not the place to start in the series. 30 April 2015

This was probably not the book to start this series with. It was somewhat confusing as the story changes characters, at first feeling like two separate stories, but it never got so weird that I set it down. Reading to the end, the confusion is explained, why characters are added and relationships changed from the opening, so things do make sense in the end. There was soem foreshadowing, but I seemed to have missed a good portion of it until I got further into the story.

I did enjoy it and look forward to learning more about these characters in other books, so I do recommend it, just not as the first read in the series.

I enjoyed this book. The characters and plot were well developed and interwove together just right.
I will have to go back and read the first book to gain some insight on the beginning of the story but this was a truly enjoyable read. I look forward to the reading the next book in the series.

I read this after Destiny Awaits and it was a bit odd at first. I felt like it was one of those books that bounce between 2 different stories until the characters meet up, but that wasn't the case at all. When it all became clear, I had an "Ah-ha!" moment. Very much worth the read.
