The Zebra Head stainless steel loop handle pots or Billy Tins are a really great quality product made in Thailand. The pots are used by many survival schools & instructors because of their strength, longevity, usefulness and ease of cleaning. They have a notched loop handle for hanging over a fire and come complete with an internal dish which for steaming or cooking in situ or they can be used as a plate. The pots are supplied with a plastic removable auto locking system for the lid to prevent spillage on un-even ground. This Billy Can measures 12 x 12 cm, weighs 0.55kg, and has a capacity of 1.5lt. Ideal for cooking for 1-2.

Only negative is that Zebra should have by now looked at how people are using and modifying this product, taken note and made these modifications at the factory - the plastic little holders get thrown away as they will melt over an open fire, the rigid handles get taken off and wire steel bail's get installed to make them pack smaller. Granted these are also sold as a type of 'tiffin box' which will hold your lunch whilst you walk to work but I'd bet the majority of them here in the UK are now used for Bushcrafting and cooking over an open fire, for which with the minor modifications mentioned above they are probably without peer.
It matters not if it is used in the fire or on a tripod as I do when out in the woods, for boiling water and heating food its first class.
I now only keep the inside clean and have gave up cleaning the soot and ash from the outside, storing the billy in a small canvas sack to keep my other kit clean.
Tip, is you drill 10-12 small holes in the small inner dish you can steam vegetables while your boil in the bag rice is cooking for a great camp meal.
The 12cm is ideal for this.
Love these Billy's. Get rid of the plastic lid locks as they melt and replace them with metal ones, very good indeed. Get a nice Oilskin Compartment Bag Set for it at Blueangelical.me.uk, they do them for the 10cm, 12cm, 14cm & 16cm Zebras, or your own pot custom bag too.
