No cause for that concern here. A really superb set of stories ranging from Graham Masterton's polished anecdote 'Anti-Claus' to Christopher Law's revisionist horror 'The Merry Gentleman'. The latter is for strong stomachs only. And lots of other good stuff in between
It's all in a very good cause too.
12 Days is a brick of a book. Standing at a grand total of 729 pages, it is an absolute beast of an anthology, containing some incredibly talented and grotesquely deranged writers in the Horror Community. Even Graham Masterton makes an appearance with his splendid, 'Anti-Claus', offering.
Originally intended to be a short story collection, Matthew decided we had all been extremely good boys and girls this year, and turned his anthology into an offensive weapon filled to the very last page with blood, guts, gore, and sparkling elves. Sociopathic next-door neighbours. Maniacal Santa's. Hordes of flesh-craving zombies. Killer geese. There really is something for everybody.
Unfortunately, the book does stumble with editing issues here and there. But they are minimal, and do not affect reading (well, not this reader anyhow). On the whole, this is great book, by a group of great authors, for an even greater cause.
You should all take a bow.
Matt Cash can hold his head high with an offering such as this. Each author has produced a cracking story with each one making this a great anthology.
Graham Masterton even chips in!
With the likes of Em Dehaney, Duncan Bradshaw and Edward Breen (plus many more!) You know you're in for a good read.
And the best part, it's all for Charity. Please buy this book to help support The Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
