A must read book for everybody interested in the 9/11

Reviewing this book it is difficult because it very much depends if you believe the "official version" of the 9/11 (or at least much of it) or not. My personal opinion is that the "official version" is the good one (the conspiracy believers have not yet delivered many facts to sustain their accusations) but I also believe the whole truth may never be known, at least for the general public. Having said that this Report is outstanding for two reasons: 1) it was produced in a relatively short period of time after the tragic events in NYC; 2) it is easy to read (it could be a novel more than an offical report). Being European myself, a report like this may have taken 10 years to publish and would be written in a more formal and legalistic way.

For anyone who is sure they know they are 'right'--this is a must read. Without judgement (but with insightful evaluation) it details the events before, during and after 9/11. The facts are stated in an easy to read format--not a lot of jargon and statistics blurring the quest for truth. While history will be the only real judge of the whole situation, and there are facts that may become clearer over time, for those of us struggling--within ourselves--and battling with others who may disagree with our views (no matter which side)--reading this answers questions, gives perspective and gives hope. If only because as long as this sort of truth exists--we all might get through it together.

I've read a lot of counter argument books about 9/11 and finally felt I need to go read the governments view.

Its a surprisingly easy piece to read, at 428 pages long it can be daunting to some but I found it easy to read. Literacy it's flawless, flows and doesnt stall at any point.

My personal favourite chapters were the 'events of the day' and 'first responders' which really were intense and engaging.

The lack of finance and WTC 7 investigation is disturbing, it's almost as though neither are important or even happened.

I feel every one should read this, and learn from it.

It should be obvious to all that this is essential first reading to anyone studying the background to the 9/11 attacks
In spite of being a report written by a committee it has a clear and consistent 'voice'.
There are event omissions (hence 4 stars) but its coverage of the geo-political background and the complex (over-complex) organisation of the US security services at the time of the attack is valuable.
I read the reviews by the conspiracy theorists with a mixture of despair and incredulity, particularly comments recommending books by an 'eminant (sic) and respected theologian'. Does such a creature exist - not in any scientific or rational world.

Fantastic book gives great insight into the lead up to 9/11 and after. It is unfortunate that 3000 people had to die to allow this book to be written. The book uncovers the lies and deceit orchestrated by Bush,Rumsfeld,Rice and co. and the incompetence of all the alphabet agencies involved which caused the deaths of so many. Instead of God Bless America it should be changed to God Help America.

The most disturbing thing about this book is that it is getting 5 star reviews. How people are taking this as a serious document is very scary.

This book tells us nothing, it is a total distortion of the facts and totally ignores many important issues.

It took 14 months for the Bush Administration to finally agree to an investigation and even then it was down to the victims families, to shame them into it. Were we ever going to get to the truth in a report that the government did not want to do, and allocate so little funds to it. Even the chairpeople of the commission said it was set up to fail.

Senator Max Cleland resigned from the commission, calling it a national disgrace. He also said the investigation had been compromised.

They then had the arrogance to put Kissinger as the head of the enquiry. This is a disgusting man, part of the criminal elite, who are profiting from 9/11. This man should be behind bars for his history of war crimes.

After the outrage of this appointment he was replaced by Tom Kean. Although Kean was Chair, nothing got into final report without the agreement of Philip Zelikow. Zelikow worked at NSC under G.H.W Bush, and later published a book in 1995 with the corrupt Condoleezza Rice. How are we going to get to the truth with credentials like that. A disgraceful decision, and a complete conflict of interest.

Zelikow was rewarded with a place on the Presidents Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board, which acts as a link from the White House to the Establishment elite. Tom Kean went on to write his own book, not for any financial gain though. Well done to you both, you did alright out of this!

The book is just a disgusting cover up, and has been used to trick the world, into believing the official version of events. If you want the truth read David R.Griffin' book 9/11 Commission Report Ommissions and Distortions, it proves beyond doubt this book is a total fraud. Please dont be fooled by this book!
