Now granted, since the author is fitting 101 tips in one book they're all limited to 1-3 pages or so. Briefly covered, but covered nonetheless and what is there feels accurate and useful.
I also love the variety in this book. As a traditional artist myself, it's often somewhat of a letdown when I order a book and the section on coloring methods focus mainly on/ or only Photoshop and other web based programs. This book however covers all; watercolor, color pencils, markers and mixed media along with computer software.
This is not a "How To" book for someone just picking up a pencil. Nor is its advertised as such, but I always like pointing this out. HOWEVER, this book contains USEFUL information. Things I feel every artist should know and understand, especially if the manga style is what appeals to you.
