OK i am having to update my review after working through the book. Only buy it if you want to waste your time with being told one thing then having another presented as the answer.
Consider these instructions on the 1st BGP lab :
"configure your network so that all 150.x.x.x /24 subnets can reach each other.......... You are not allowed to configure R4". This makes me think you are not allowed to go into config mode on r4, a reasonable assumption given the statement about not being allowed to configure r4.
Being stumped i checked the answer after lots of research. The answer reads "This task is completed by executing this command on R4 as follows ... " then clearly shows some commands in conf mode on R4!
The book has lots of these mistakes. A total waste of time if you are trying to study and very confusing.

I'm surprised I am the first person to review this book considering it's been around for quite some time. Some of the labs are very good but I found that there was a lot of ambiguity in the tasks. On one task in particular, OSPF related it asked me to carry out two steps but then only gives the answer to one. I think it tries to make the labs hard but falls down on execution because it doesn't really specify how it wants you to achieve it and abviously with some things there's usually 2 or 3 different ways to do it. Yet the answer given in my opinion seems like a very funny way of answering it.There's much better labs out there which are better written and more exact in what they want you to do.

You just cant get enough practice. this along side GN3 + some real kit and the "How to network" is site just brilliant. Learn it - Live it - Love it

Tip from a Cisco engineer Kevin W - Yawn and stretch 3 or 4 times before you start your exam to increase your alertness and calm yourself down

This is great value and working through the labs is well worth the effort combined with the free cisco ccnp Student Lab Manual pdf.
