Product Description

The 1000 Mile Compression Socks have been designed to aid in reducing the build up of lactic acid by accelerating blood circulation to prevent muscle oscillation. The Compression sock also helps minimises muscle fatigue and soreness. This enables faster muscle recovery after exercise or injury. Arch and ankle bracing gives additional support. Ultra flat toe seam and fitted heel give extra comfort. The Graduated Compression Technology decreases the degree of pressure the sock to improve circulation to move old blood out and new oxygenated blood into the region. This reduces muscle fatigue, minimizes swelling and speeds recovery.

I have had these before and they did the job nicely. I don't wear them for running or any sport, I use them to help with pains in my legs and varicose veins. I recently tried an expensive medical grade pair and didn't find them any better than these, and they were double the price. I wear these everyday and it helps reduce my leg pain, so I can keep stnading at the end of the day. They wash very well, keeping the graduated compression up the calf. Very comfortable and discret under tight trousers. Long too, so you don't have to over stretch them to reach under the knee.

Never found anything better than the 1000 mile socks for blister free running. These long ones are great for me as they avoid the tightness marks caused by short ones as I have quite big calfs but small feet.

I am a big fan of 1000 Mile. These sock are good, they take a bit of getting used to getting them on. But great support and moisture transfer, very comfortable. I may order another pair in the smaller size, to push the tightness/support and see how that works. Looking at compression socks they range from £3 to £50. I dont do marathons, and I'd love to try the top range socks, but I just cannot bring myself to pay £40+ for socks. For me these are a good compromise. Happy

Had problem with swollen ankles on last holiday flight so bought these for our recent long haul flight to southern India. Found them remarkably comfortable and they worked. Would recommend.

Bought these two months' ago. Can't use it for running or any other sports as they don't stay up. I can't even wear them for walking around as they still fall down. The only time they're worn is in the house or if I'm asleep as there's not enough movement for them to fall down.

For context, I'm a size 9 and bought medium size (6-8.5). I have relatively big calves (used to do a lot of swimming) so thought getting medium size would be perfect as one or two reviews of them stated being a bit loose around the calves. I was wrong. The first time I tried to go for a run in them, made it 200-300m down the road before they were halfway down my calves and a bit longer and they were all the way down.

Very disappointed with them to be totally honest. I thought they would help with blood circulation during exercise but they don't manage to do that as they don't stay up!

Or maybe I'm deluded and have tiny calves...(but I still don't belive that!)

These probably aren't the flashest looking compression socks out there, but they do what they need to.

I have quite big calves but the small (size 3-5.5) fir nicely and don't slide down. They are a good close fit, my feet still breathe ok, and my muscles don't feel as tight or sore after a long run as they have when wearing ankle length socks or liners.

My only gripe is that after a few wears and washes the toes look worn - not to the point that my toes are poking through but as if they've been seriously rubbed - which is perhaps to do with the styling of the foot/toe section, but other than that they're great for the price.

These shouldn't be called compression socks - they're more a 'support' sock. Good fit round toe and heel, reasonably easy to put on (which made me a bit suspicious). Far too short in the leg, and that's the deal breaker with these socks. I'm 5'8" tall, and no Bambi, but these only just came slightly over halfway up my calf, and that's just not acceptable.
Almost immediately, the top cuff started to roll over on my left leg, forming quite a constricting band (perhaps that was the 'compression' the manufacturers boast of) - if you buy these and this happens to you, turn the top of the sock's cuff over about an inch, and have the turned bit facing inwards, should help prevent further 'roll' if you haven't already binned these socks as not fit for purpose.

They do dry out quickly if they've got wet, even with the slight padding to toe and heel. Apart from the cuff, they're quite comfortable to wear.
They do seem to help keep feet and ankles from getting a bit puffy if you're on your feet all day and need some extra support, but there are far better products on the market.
If they were longer, i.e. as per the illustration, they'd make a decent pair of supportive flight socks. As they are, they constitute more of a risk than a benefit.

I found them really comfy. The cotton is soft, yet firm (I don't know the pressure mm/hg, perhaps 28 mm/hg). It's better than 100 Miles More as they are really knee high. I wear them all day long, as I tend to have swollen ankles if I don't. I go to the gym with them and do leg movements on the static bike and the leg machine and they are really comfortable. Highly recommended.
They are catalogued by size with a band of green, blue or yellow around the toe line. Left and right sock are shown clearly, it is fairly easy to pull them up little by little to put them on.

I found this trick to put some of the sock up to mid leg, then to go nearer the ankle and pull the sock to adjust it around the foot and heel; in that way they fit cosily. I had no

problem with them staying up all day long. They are very pleasing in their two tones. (I'm hoping they would make some blue!)
Update Thu 17 March:
I bought four more pairs, as One sock developed a hole. I'm still very happy with them and wear them all day long. Very efficient to compress your ankle and legs.
