Martin was born in Birmingham in 1967. He graduated in Geography from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 1994
Throughout the 1990's and early 2000's he worked in Holland during the summer in the seasonal flower bulb export business and travelled during the rest of the year.
He travelled to India 15 times staying there for a total of five and a half years where he developed a sense for the spiritual and learned the practice of meditation. He also indulged his interest in ancient civilisations by travelling to Egypt, Greece, Peru, Bolivia, Cambodia and Laos and also travelled in Thai land, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Israel, the United States and Australia.
He taught science and religion in High schools in the UK in 2003 and 2004 and became a house husband in 2007 with the birth of his first son. A second son was added in 2009.
He now lives in the UK in the midlands where he is self employed as a gardener and decorator.
In his spare time, he reads comics and paints pictures of Indian Gods.
After reading hundreds of children's books to his young boys he decided to write his own, in the form of The Ravens of Fairbourne Hall. These combine the worlds myths and legends, with spiritual philosophy and adventure, for the education and entertainment of the young.
