“Whiskers and Wings” began as a single story for my young grandson George. It was well received and I embarked on a series of tales that developed the number and the characters of the many ‘countryside companions’. Edition 1 contained 13 stories. **Edition 2 contains 15 stories.**

“A Twist in the Tale” is a book of stories with unexpected endings (I hope!) but nothing beyond comprehension or far-fetched. A good, pleasant read.
“The Man from Blue Anchor” is based around a Cornish tin mine. A story of treachery, of love, of a father feared drowned at sea...and a dog! A decent read.
I am long retired from traditional work and the daily grind. I often miss it.
I have enjoyed success as a songwriter insofar as I was paid to write songs for others and have written several hundred on my own account. Many were published and records released.
My writing has included publishing deals including a contract to write short stories for the Weekly and Monthly magazines of Thompson Newspapers and elsewhere.
I have been a competitive ‘runner’ since the age of 11, a County sprint champion and record holder as a Junior, age categories winner into my early fifties, running 40-60 miles a week into my sixties. Heart attacks, on-going heart problems and other disabilities affected me adversely as I reached my seventies. I now jog/walk short distances as I jog/walk my way round parkruns (362 to date).
