Carole Scott is in her 40s and is a passionate traveller. Exploring new countries sets her imagination on fire and in recent years has visited Australia, Burma, Cuba and Ethiopia.
Carole lives in Oxfordshire, where she works in communications. Some years ago she worked as a tour leader in the Middle East, covering Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. This time gave her the primary inspiration for The Broken Heart Repair Plan, as she fell head over heels in love with Petra, in Jordan.
The old, scratchy photos featured alongside the new one are from Carole's first - heart-stealing - trip to Jordan in 1994.
Carole is a blogger at carolemscott.wordpress.com, where she writes mainly about adventures in travel and photography. She is an enthusiastic but rather useless indoor climber and has jumped out of a plane (with a parachute and instructor). She thinks she's good at dancing salsa but is so rusty that she wouldn't dare ask a Cuban to dance right now.
Apart from selling the film rights to the Broken Heart Repair Plan, Carole's big dream is being proposed to at sunset up at the Monastery in Petra. Before that, she needs to sort out the small matter of finding the man to do it.
