Nicole Ponsford won 'Outstanding New Teacher' in 2005. Since then she has combined her love of engaging students with learning and new technologies. After spending over a decade in UK schools, she is now is a freelance edtech editor and author for a range of online and offline publications. She also works for an international school improvement charity (focused on disadvantaged and vulnerable students) called Achievement for All.
Nicole is the co-author of TechnoTeaching. She wrote it with Dr Julie M. Wood, who lives in America. They met on LinkedIn and wrote the book driven by their experience of digital innovation in schools and with businesses and their love of helping their peers in the classroom.
In true TechnoTeacher style, they have never met - the book was written using Skype and email alone. It was published by Harvard Educational Press this summer. They are now offering eCaoching services to schools, regions and individuals.
Nicole has just gained an HarvardX certificate as a 'Leader of Learning'.
