I started out as a graphic designer in Zimbabwe, working with Chaz Maviyane-Davies. I moved to the UK to study and after started working in children's publishing as a book designer. I had ideas of my own that were bursting to come out of my head, so I became a freelancer. My first book was called The Sun Is a Bright Star. It was illustrated by Sue Hendra.
My second book was called the Big Yellow Taxi, closely followed by The Little Red Plane and then for the next six years by five other very successful vehicle books, picture books magazine articles and wonderful collaborations with both illustrators and authors.
Nowadays, I am the proud publisher of a quarterly printed newspaper for primary school children called chicken! I still work on books though, and am trying to help as many people as possible fulfil their publishing dreams.
