Simon Garlick was born in Radcliffe which used to be in Lancashire but was soon gobbled up by Greater Manchester, presumably because it was hungry. However he did manage to finally escape and ran away to UWA (that is the University of Wales, Aberystwyth) to study drama.
One of the reasons why he chose UWA was because he thought it would be cool to have a degree from a university named after a country, and indeed it is! The other reason was that on the drama degree course there were 5 girls for every 1 boy so he figured that even he might stand a chance of falling in love with a beautiful girl. He fell in love with a few.
When he reluctantly left Wales he was unaware his life would take him on a great many (and some very secret) adventures.
Simon writes in a number of genres including Children's & Adult Fiction and for Theatre and Television. He is a contributor to http://mojano.com and is a founding member of the Aberystwyth Writers Guild (AWG)
He lives in a small house with his dog Kizzy and his fish Frodo*.
*since this biography was published Frodo has taken an unfortunate journey to the sea via a hollow white porcelain seat.
