Her first book, The Children of Craig-y-nos, co-authored with medical historian Dr Carole Reeves, was short listed for a medical book award and she has appeared on the BBC “One Show” talking about her experiences as a child for four years in the children’s TB sanatorium, Craig-y-nos Castle, in Wales.
As a teenager she was in Sully hospital. Her book “Searching for Sully- our stories,” tells of that experience.
Ann used her blog (sullyhospital.blogspot.co.uk) to collect the memories of ex patients and staff.
She worked as a journalist on newspapers in England and Scotland before going to Glasgow School of Art as a mature student.
She did a Masterclass with the great sculptor Sir Eduardo Paolozzi and wrote a diary based on that experience, “ Paolozzi Revealed”.
She is a writer and artist, married and living in Scotland.
