I have a fairly entry level HiFi , some Cds sound amazing , you can hear so many things , such as, not just drums but when the drummer uses brushes you can hear this clearly too. But sometimes you put music on which you think is going to sound great and it just sounds noisy , its not the hifi cos I test them in the car too, So are these just bad recordings or can you get baddly written Cds from the manufacturers, I bought whats the story morning glory and just cant play it , it sounds awfull Some one please help , I am sure I am not the only one this has happened too Thank you for reading this
I suspect it is due to "the loudness war" - Google it. Morning Glory is known for being a bad listen in this respect, and unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it. You can console yourself with the thought that your ears are good enough to notice, I suppose!
Thank you for reply , I find this with a lot of cd,s , the funny thing is you can play older tunes such as Jim reeves and Billy Fury (two at random) and they sound amazing , and then up to date stuff you really think is going sound fantastic , sounds awfull , as you say about the volume war , I guess this is purely to get heard louder on the radio , thinking they will stand out more . The sad thing is , I like Oasis because I thought the music and quality was more important to them than the money. again thank you for reply
