i bought this on ebay and when i installed it a pop up read that (this is not genuine.) proberbly as the person who sold it used the number on the box.it does not affect the computer except it displays the non genuine pop up this was bought in good faith on ebay,now i want to upgrade to windows 8.what do i do i have tried to contact the seller but no answer ?

With eBay..depends on how you paid him. Sent the software back with letter stating fake software and that you want refund. Then send it back by recorded delivery for your security. I would put in a claim through PayPal stating fake software. PayPal will want proof that you sent it back, hence why I said recorded.

I wouldn't buy windows 8 it's rubbish..it was meant to be designed for tablets where tablet have scrolling feature. I seen loads of bad reviews, I would hate to see you waste your money.
