can some of william burroughs work be read as occult manuals?

has anyone any views on this aspect of burroughs work. I believe I have read a story in which Burroughs uses cut-up technique to lay down a curse on an establishment run by a homophobe

cut-ups are not magick they are a dis-orientation teknique---mark lally
