Product Description

Product Description

The hilarious tale following the diary of a man as he takes on the ultimate cycling challenge - to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats, dragging his father-in-law; his Bike Buddy, with him. A man who is grumpy, overweight, unfit, with knackered knees and high blood pressure. A man more likely to die than succeed.

Over three weeks, Gooderham tells of his battle through the country. A light-hearted and jovial tale of one man's quest to beat his mid-life crisis.

The real story behind the fictional "Ten Bodies, Two Bikes and a Boil". Please bear in mind much of the text is similar to Ten Bodies, although this book contains the final two chapters of what actually happened.

For those who don't want fiction - but want real life comedy - this is the book for you.

The sequel is now available on Kindle and Amazon "Will you please slow down - St Davids to Lowestoft cycle ride" continues Gooderham's tale as he finds a new cycling buddy which brings its own challenges.

These books are a must read for anyone who has already cycled, or is contemplating either challenge and include daily maps, road and traffic conditions as well as the contour of the routes.

More About the Author

Chris lives in the luscious green valleys of Worcestershire, taking his inspiration from the rolling hills of the local landfill site.
He is a part-time writer, spending his daily life fighting evil for the countries dairy farmers.
Chris's writing takes three distinct forms; thrillers, situation comedy and risky rhymes.
The thrillers were written after Chris got fed up with poor storylines and crappy endings from the books he was reading. The situation comedys tell of his sporting exploits, while the rhymes were written for his children as a bit of fun.
We hope you enjoy reading his books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bonkers... 7 May 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Love this book, quirky sense of humour, very funny, but also very real tale of a long long bike ride and the nonsense that goes on inside the head of a long distance cyclist!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read 4 Dec 2013

The title of the book is quite random but then so is the author, in a good way. I really enjoyed this book and have since purchased Chris's next book as I like his witty style of writing.

4.0 out of 5 stars A laugh aloud read. 29 Nov 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
For anybody who enjoys touring by bike this book will tell you nothing you do not already know about the highs and lows of such adventures, but Chris`s dry humour will having you laughing out loud. Furthermore it may well inspire you to ensure that really do get more from life, but probably not by doing lejog.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laughed Until Cried 16 Jun 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I bought this book for my wife as she is going to do Lands End to John O Groats. She wasn't sure what this book would be like, and she wasn't keen on the bike buddy name initially....but all I can say is those concerns were very short lived. This book was a fantastic read, well written, funny, realistic but also a hint of stretched truth at times....but no matter what she loved it. She was literally crying while reading it, and she is now very sad that she has finished it! Great read - light-hearted & funny - highly recommend.
