Mine went down outside of the 1 year warranty period. I was informed by my dealer that Seagate have a two-year warranty & the faulty drive was exchanged for a new one (which has also failed). I hope this helps you.

Standard warranty is 12 months. I went on Seagate's website and entered my drive model & serial number and it returned that it was out of warranty. The drive is approx 14 months old and bought from Amazon - both have washed their hands of the drive.

Most seagate drives have a two year warranty... Although I couldn't out hand on heart and say its that for this specific drive I would say you are fairly safe it's about that!!!!
