Try Freda Warrington ~ A taste of blood wine, A dance in blood velvet and The dark blood of popies, i loved these 3 vampire books, You could also try Freda warringtons Dark cathedral, its one of my fav books next to Twilight, no vampires but the main characters Beth and Morgan are just as captavating as Bella and Edward
new book out this week - Hattori Hachi: The Revenge of Praying Mantis. Full of action and adventure with a great female lead. Check out the website - www.hattorihachi.com - if you like it, please post a review and tell your friends!
Hi Mollie I've read the Vampire Beach novels and they are quite good. Also I would definitely suggest: Vampire Academy: they have romance, humour, and have a very original plot. Plus, Shadow Kiss (3rd book) made me cry. Can't wait for the fourth one! The Morganville Vampires: might take some time to get into them but once you're there, its hard to get out. House of Night: really cool vampires and a good deal of romance and action. Night World: just as addictive as Twilight. Dark Huntes: can be complicated because of the all the myths and all but truly intelligent and original. Also, is bound to keep you occupied for a long time(big series). They do have a fair deal of sexual content though. The Mortal Instruments: starng with city of bones, these boks kept me on the edge of my seat throught out! Midnight Breed: lots of acton and romance. Has sexuel content. Also, not Sci-Fi but try Noughts and Crosses trilogy. One of the most beautiful and creative series ever!
Hi Mollie, I love the Twilight series and was in horror of what to read next, since I can't read books which don't have romance in them. So, I would suggest these brilliant series... Vampire Academy-Richelle Mead_these books have action, romance, humour, magic and strong, beliaveable characters. Frostbite and Shadow Kiss are books 2 nad 3. The third book will seriously make you cry, they are so sad but a major cliffhanger. Dying to read the 4th one(seriously). Morganville Vampires-Rachel caine_ a bit childish, but book 2 upwards they are truly captivating. Mortal Instruments-Cassandra Clare_ these books are one of the best series out there, literally. The romance is little, but so tension filled and heart breaking. Full of action and adventures! Night World-L.J.Smith_a lot like twilight, a longer series and revolves around everthing. Nonetheless, addictive though... House of night-P.C.Cast+Kristen Cast_ read the whole series and can't wait for book 6, cool avmps and magic. Funny, Romantic yet Dark and interesting characters. Dark Hunters-Sherrilyn Kenyon_if you like greek gods and cool, entertaining characters +plus, then this book is the best. Has 18+ stuff in them. Midnight breed-Lara Adrian_ full of action and an original plot. Has 18+ plus content and seriously dark... couldn't put them down. Noughts and Crosses-Malorie Blackman_ I started to bawl at the end of the 1st book (in the middle of the night) and cried throughput the series, this book made me laugh, cry and swear badly, so emotional and true! Sorry for my long list, hope I was helpful Enjoy!!!!
Seriously recommend Vampire Academy series of books by Richelle Mead. I liked them just as much as twilight and again I'm an older reader (26). They have me hooked and I'm eagerly awaiting the 4th book being released end of August. Hope that helps x
I can't believe no one recommended the 'Love At Stake' series by Kerrelyn Sparks. I love these books! Lots of vamps and mortals alike, with a bit of fighting and sex thrown in too! I recommend these to ANYONE!! :)
I love Garth Nix's books, but I found the keys to the kingdom got a bit repetitive after the 3rd book. His Abhorsen books are great though. I've read the first four house of night books, and although they are a good read they're not particuarly well written, nowhere near as good as twilight. I love His Dark Materials, although they are aimed at young teens they still make me laugh and cry, often at the same time.
as an older reader myself later 30's and you want something with a bit more bite and alot more of and adult theme try the black dagger brotherhood series by jr ward .read twilght and then got told about these books read the 6 books i could get hold of in 2 weeks and continue to reread them so have a try not to everyones taste but got grown up vampire that edward wants to become
Definitely try SHIVER by Maggie Stiefvater. It was the first book since Twilight that I really enjoyed. Extremely well written and there are a further two books in this series to satisfy the reader. A beautiful love story with a few werewolves thrown in for good measure!

i am now getting bored and don't know what to read next have looked at what other people say is good but still stuck i have read The Twilight series and love it, Vampire diaries by L.J Smith and liked the first few and got fed up, True blood series by Charlaine Harris and loved it better than the tv series by miles, Nightshade series by Andrea Cremer enjoyed, Grey wolf series by Quin Loftis and loved it. Started reading some of Kelley Armstrong's books really love Bitten, Stolen, Men of the otherworldand hidden. Just started Dime store magic and really struggling with it, need help what to read next please help.
I have just finished Afterlife by Stephanie Hudson and found it addictive, I couldn't put it down and its over 700 pages. a really strong storyline, not just your normal vampire stuff. the characters bring so much life into the story, especially the main man, Dominic Draven. I believe there are to be 7 in the saga. A really good read for £3.80 and I found the story had a lot more to offer than Twilight. Afterlife (Afterlife Saga)
I loved Afterlife saga by Stephanie Hudson, it's book 1 in the series and I just couldn't put it down! Afterlife (Afterlife Saga) If you liked twilight then this is totally up your street but on a more adult level.
