3.0 out of 5 stars Well written - but dated 5 May 2011
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bought this as it was the only book on vBulletin. It's not bad but:
- it's based on version 3.0.6 - the current version is 4.1.2 - which has come on a long way
- I bought it to answer various questions I had having already got my vBulletin up and running. It's really for 'beginners' as I'd managed to do most of the tasks up to chapter 7 or 8 simply by online research.

Still - found a few nuggets of information which have helped and it's well written and structured.

4.0 out of 5 stars super 10 Jun 2012

This is complete but I feel that it is not for a beginner. I am trying to get into Vbulletin because we have a site which we might relocate. A member of the forum suggested Vbulletin. This book is not for beginners but it does deal with Vbulletin completely.

I feel you should know something about php and MySQL to really put this book to use and get the substance from it. Just my view!

Our forum which we may relocate is:

I found this book to be highly helpful in the installation, development and administration of my VBulletin based site. I am sure there are other books that are up to the task but this one worked for me.

GOOD, especially considering the VOID of material available on this subject, but this manual could use some updating in parts,
