I can't see why not. I use a "three" pay as you go sim card and that works ok with my Fonepad which did not need to be unlocked. The only reason I went to "three" was their pricing structure.

They are sim free, so you can put any sim card in and it'll work.
Mine is Virgin.
Obviously you will be limited by how much pay as you go credit you have.
Web browsing on pay as you go is probably better when you are connected to a wireless router somewhere.

Yes! It is great! You can use any pay as you go sim, we have an airtelvodafone sim, also we have a SURE sim. we are in the channel islands and do not have orange. All you need to do is cut the usual sim down and make it smaller and it seems possible
with all of them nowadays it is really good! they will cut it down in the shop when you buy it if you ask them or it just breaks out of the bigger normal sim.

Just thought I would mention that this tablet/phone is classed as a phone for data download purposes and you can get unlimited data, loads of phone minutes and texts for 10 a month from Giff Gaff. You would pay about 40 a month tarrif for unlimited download of data onto a tablet only. There are also cheaper tariffs if you don't want unlimited data but I think Giff Gaff are excellent price wise and the cheapest you can get. I believe any micro sim card will be ok and I am really happy with mine

I do not know, but if your Asus is not locked to another provider I presume you can.
