Not sure but it is compatible with the Nexus 7 which is just another android tablet (plus everything else I've tried, from phones to Kindle Keyboards). All this does it create a wireless network point to which you connect your device. Looking at the Huawei website it says "Use with Tablet, Laptop, Notebook and any other WiFi enabled device". I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work with a Kindle fire.

I haven't tried it but there is no reason for it not to work. All my wifi devices just connect as if it was a wireless router except my old Nintendo ds lite which didn't like the Security settings.

I have looked at my user manual, and can find no mention of the Kindle [just Ipad, tablets, etc], BUT the connection on the USB port is the same. too be on the safe side, I would contact the makers.
